The digital camera revolution has done more than wreck the businesses of Kodak and Polaroid, millions of people are now expert photographers and the orb has now been discovered. Actually it hasn’t, because the orb phenomenon has been known for thousands of years. Orbs feature in some of the earliest works of art alongside images of halos and human auras, however the digital camera has undoubtedly unlocked an exciting new world of orbs.

So the big question is- what are these fascinating circles seen in many digital photographs? They apparently are not visible to the human eye at the time the picture was taken and there are no other physical explanations for how they could have been created in the photograph. The question we are posing here is: could orbs be the first evidence of the universal energy web that many quantum physicists now believe exists?

We recognise that this is a hot topic which generates diametrically opposed opinions. Some people believe that orbs are indeed manifestations of energy whilst others regard them as evidence of spirits or supernatural forces. On the other hand many dismiss orbs as being nothing more than atmospheric pollution or camera malfunction. What cannot be denied is that nobody knows with any certainty what orbs really are, however we are confident that with your assistance we can get a definitive explanation.
